Home for the Holidays

It's hard to imagine that my Christmas break is already halfway done, Christmas has come and past, and New Year's is right around the corner.

On New Year's Eve, while many of you were busy spending time watching your favorite Christmas movie or playing your favorite family game, Congress passed Obama's new Health Care Plan. Yet this raises some questions for me to ask. Why was such a major and highly talked about bill that is suppose to "saved America" being passed almost unnoticed and quietly as if they want it to be unheard. The health care reform bill will cost $871 billion, and that's just the toppings on the pizza. The United States is already well over $12 trillion, and if we equally divided the debt among every American each citizen would owe almost $40,000. Our national debt continues to increase every day by $3.78 billion each day. Are you kidding me?! After knowing this I know realized that someone leading us out of our debt soon is very unlikely, but shouldn't we at least start to shave off unnecessary funds that we don't really need.

But nonetheless it is the holidays, and I'm still going to enjoy it. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a safe New Year's as well.
